Years ago I worked for a VP of a college who actually evaluated my work performance based on this one question.

“If you were flying in a hot air balloon above the ground looking down at yourself, what do you see yourself doing?  Who are you connecting with?”

I thought he was joking but he wasn’t.  He seriously wanted me to decide what my goals were, what I wanted to do with my life and the why behind doing it.  For 2 weeks I tried to write something down and came up with nothing.  That’s what started me on a journey of getting real with myself and with God.  Eventually I came to believe:

“There is a Leader inside of you just waiting to make a difference.  You have the ability to reach thousands of people but you can’t do it by playing small.  Whether you are married or single, running a business or employed in one, whether you’re a parent or have no children at all, you can be a leader who will make a difference.  The choice is yours.”

ABOUT THE FOUNDER OF CONNECTING

Kellie is an author, a speaker, a life coach, a consultant and an associate of the Leaders Cafe Foundation (LCF) where over 100,000 participants from the UK will actively aspire to become great leaders in their community beginning in 2010.  The goal of LCF is to affect 20,000,000 people around the world by 2020.

 

When Kellie is not working she is writing, singing, homeschooling her teenager, loving her devoted family and playing guitar.  She enjoys finding more ways to create synergy in the lives of others because she lives what she believes;  that every moment of every day is precious and needs to be lived intentionally for good will in order to achieve making a difference in the lives of others.

Benton Harbor BuildingKellie has a dream to one day build a Kid’s Partnership Center (shown on left as hand sketched in 2008) for the inner city kids of Benton Harbor Michigan where they use to have the highest murder rate per capita.  Kellie now sees new hope abound, with the help of the Overflow Christian Community, and is looking forward to meeting with devoted followers of Jesus who will help raise enough capitol to create this center for the youth…
